Flexible magnesium supplementation for the months of pregnancy.

We formulated PUURA MaMa to provide the essential vitamins and minerals needed during pregnancy. We consciously chose not to include magnesium just for the sake of having it in the ingredient list: this way, your magnesium intake can be supplemented with a separate product tailored to your diet and individual needs.

Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function, the normal functioning of the nervous system, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. The recommended daily magnesium intake for pregnant adults is approximately 300 mg, which should ideally be met through a combination of diet and, if necessary, dietary supplements.

If you consume few magnesium-rich foods—such as legumes, oilseeds, or whole grains—it is worth reviewing your daily intake. PUURA Magnesium Bisglycinate contains organic magnesium, which you can use to supplement the amount derived from your diet if needed.

Omega-3 fatty acids: DHA and EPA are particularly valuable omega-3 fatty acids during pregnancy, when the mother's nutrition is also decisive for the developing baby. In our country, we typically consume little fish, so it is especially worth paying attention to the adequate intake of omega-3 fatty acids during this time. Maternal DHA intake contributes to the normal brain and eye development of the fetus, and it also contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and vision, while EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart.

Vitamin D: Contributes to the normal function of the immune system and plays a role in cell division. It contributes to the maintenance of normal blood calcium levels, the maintenance of healthy bones, as well as the maintenance of healthy muscle function.

Vitamin C: The history of the discovery of Vitamin C is a true source of Hungarian pride: the work of Nobel laureate researcher Albert Szent-Györgyi contributed fundamentally to our current deep understanding of this essential vitamin. Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system, the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, the protection of cells from oxidative stress, and normal collagen formation. It participates in normal energy-yielding metabolic processes, contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, and enhances iron absorption.

Zinc: Zinc is involved in hundreds of enzymatic reactions. Zinc plays a role in the maintenance of normal fertility and reproduction. It contributes to the maintenance of normal mental function. Zinc plays a role in normal protein synthesis. It contributes to normal carbohydrate and macronutrient metabolism, DNA synthesis, and cell division. It supports the immune system and the protection of cells from oxidative stress. It also contributes to the maintenance of normal skin.

Iodine: Iodine is an essential trace element that the body needs in small amounts but continuously. It contributes to the maintenance of normal cognitive function, participates in normal energy-yielding metabolic processes, supports the normal functioning of the nervous system and the maintenance of normal skin, and further contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and normal thyroid function.

Vitamin E: Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin with antioxidant effects that contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Selenium: Selenium is an essential trace element; our body can only obtain it from external sources. Selenium contributes to the normal function of the immune system, the protection of cells from oxidative stress, as well as normal thyroid function.

Lactoferrin: Lactoferrin is an iron-binding protein naturally found in milk. Its name also refers to this special property: "ferrin" refers to its binding to iron.

Vitamin B3: Vitamin B3, also known as niacin, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays an important role in the body's daily energy processes. Iron: Iron is an essential trace element that is particularly important for blood formation and the body's oxygen supply. It contributes to normal red blood cell and hemoglobin formation, the normal transport of oxygen in the body, and the maintenance of normal cognitive function and the normal function of the immune system. It participates in normal energy-yielding metabolic processes, contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and plays a role in cell division.

Vitamin A: Vitamin A is a fat-soluble, essential vitamin that plays an important role in, among other things, the normal functioning of vision, skin, and the immune system. It contributes to normal iron metabolism, the maintenance of normal mucous membranes and skin, as well as the maintenance of normal vision. Furthermore, it contributes to the normal function of the immune system and plays a role in the process of cell specialization.

Vitamin B12: Working together with folate, it participates in red blood cell formation. It participates in normal energy-yielding metabolic processes. It contributes to the normal function of the immune and nervous systems, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. It also plays a role in cell division.

Choline: Choline is a water-soluble, vitamin-like nutrient that participates in many physiological processes. It contributes to normal homocysteine and lipid metabolism, as well as the maintenance of normal liver function.

Copper: Copper is an essential trace element that, although in small amounts, is necessary for many important physiological processes. It contributes to the maintenance of normal connective tissues, participates in normal energy-yielding metabolic processes, supports the normal functioning of the nervous system and the immune system, the normal transport of iron in the body, and the normal pigmentation of hair and skin. Furthermore, it contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Folate: Folate is given a particularly important role in life stages where intense cell division and tissue growth occur – including during pregnancy. It contributes to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy, participates in the process of cell division, and contributes to normal blood formation and amino acid synthesis. Furthermore, it supports the proper functioning of the immune system, the maintenance of normal psychological function, and contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

How do you integrate it into your daily routine?

We recommend taking PUURA MaMa in the evening, during a meal. You can take the magnesium at another time of the day, such as in the morning or during the day, adjusted to your individual tolerance and the routine that is most convenient for you. It is not strictly necessary to separate the intake of the two supplements, but if you take them at different times, you may find it easier to fit them into your daily routine.
